I am a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Special Education at Michigan State University.
I am currently working with Dr. Lisa Linnenbrink-Garcia. I completed my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Educational Technology at Michigan State University under the supervision of Dr. Cary Roseth and master's degree in Educational Psychology at Seoul National University in South Korea. My B.A. in education and Korean literature and language was received from Yonsei University in South Korea.
My research interests focus on the impacts of different personal and contextual factors on students’ motivation, engagement, and academic achievement. I am especially interested in how the actual or implied presence of others (e.g., peers in classroom) influences students’ motivation to learn.
